Overview of a Payroll Skill Test
The assessment has been specifically designed for assessing the test taker’s knowledge and familiarity in regards to the subject of general UK Payroll.
Covering payroll terminology and knowledge through the assessment, all levels of this test contain questions relating to basic regulations, Pay As You Earn (PAYE), National Insurance (NI) and HMRC reporting in the form of issues, problems and scenarios to solve.
The test includes a variety of question styles including multiple choice, free hand response, true or false and ranking.
There are two levels available within the Payroll skill test, which can be selected at point of assignment. Levels available include: Intermediate and Expert.
Those taking the Expert level of this test is expected to have a more advanced subject knowledge reflective of a supervisory position.
Suitable for anyone working in a payroll department or payroll bureau in any size company and responsible for making the monthly payments on time, calculating tax, or managing special situations like maternity or sickness pay.
